Where It All Began

Some of the things that shape us begin long before we realize their significance. For me, it started with images, stories, creativity, and a world I didn’t yet know would become such an important part of my own.

Growing up, my family owned bookstores filled with the latest magazines, and my grandmother even had a small clothing boutique inside one of them. I loved the images, stories and worlds those pages opened up. I couldn’t have known it then, but so many of the seeds for what I do today were already being planted.

Years later, I stepped inside that world myself. For more than 20 years, I worked internationally as a model, living and traveling around the world alongside incredible stylists, designers, photographers and art directors. Without realizing it, I was training my eye every day by learning proportion, craftsmanship, quality, and those unexpected details that can completely transform a look. I also learned just how transformative clothes can be. As a model, you are quite literally a canvas. I could arrive in jeans and a T-shirt and, hours later, step in front of the camera as an entirely different version of myself.

That stayed with me.

Constant travel and eventually, a very real New York-sized closet, taught me something else: you don’t need a lot of clothes to have great style. You need the right ones. Long before capsule wardrobes became a trend, I was building them for myself by choosing fewer, better pieces and discovering the magic in making them work in countless ways.

Then I became a mother, which was my biggest life transition yet. That new chapter became the beginning of the business I have today. I started by helping a few other new moms find their style again and quickly realized how much women need that kind of clarity and support as their lives evolve. What started organically quickly grew through word of mouth into my styling business.

After working with hundreds of women, something became clear: great wardrobes don’t start with shopping. They start with knowing the woman you’re dressing. Who is she now? How does she live? What feels like her and what no longer does? And slowly, all the dots connected; my years in fashion, the capsule wardrobes I’d built out of necessity, and everything I was learning inside my clients’ closets. Over time, it became the Identity to Icon™ Method. The method that guides my work today.

Because I believe every woman deserves to feel like her own icon.
